Belajarplus

Context

Belajarplus was an education technology startup building a digital school ecosystem. The product scope was large: school websites and CMS, user management, e-learning, e-library, e-attendance, computer-based testing, parent reporting, and internal tools.

This was not a single-product design exercise. It was a system problem across roles, permissions, workflows, and operational realities.

Challenge

The hard part was keeping the ecosystem coherent while different products moved at different speeds.

Students needed clarity. Schools needed control. Parents needed visibility. Internal teams needed tools that reduced operational friction. Each group had different expectations, but the products still had to feel like one connected platform.

Approach

As Product Lead, I oversaw the product development process while staying hands-on with product design.

The work centered on turning broad education workflows into clear product surfaces. I helped define objectives, manage design and development work, maintain UI-system direction, and plan usability and acceptance testing for key features.

The design approach was practical: reduce ambiguity, make school operations easier to understand, and keep the system maintainable as the product surface expanded.

Outcome

The team delivered design work across several core products in the ecosystem, including the school CMS, user management, e-learning, e-library, attendance, testing, parent reporting, and internal tools.

The stronger outcome was not just the number of products touched. It was the product foundation: a clearer design system, more structured delivery, and a product language the team could continue building from.

What I Would Refine Next

This case study should eventually include more detail on user research, product constraints, team process, and examples of how the design system reduced repeated decisions across the ecosystem.
